Sesame Dinette is a thoughtful, purpose-driven cafe located in Long Beach, representing Asian-American identity through food. A sister to Sesame LA, the brand’s marketplace that opened in the heart of Chinatown in April 2021, Sesame Dinette provides a platform to showcase the cooking talents of owner Linda Sivrican’s mother, Judy, and the elders in her community along with a rising new wave of young pastry chefs. Through the rotating weekly dessert offerings, Sivrican serves as an incubator and champion for the AAPI culinary community, bridging generational Pan-Asian culture through the eyes of its inventive pool of makers. Stories across time and place run deep in the kitchen and extend into the tranquil, inspiring dining space set off by dynamic artwork and handmade furniture by local artists and artisans. Pull up a bench and create your own memories or take our comforting food preparations home to savor along with a curated array of provisions and artisanal pantry staples predominately featuring Asian flavors and AAPI makers.
